Hawaii Travel Information
Hawaii is America's 50th State but very different from the rest of the USA. The Hawaiian Islands are located just below the Tropic of Cancer with a topography that is punctuated by volcanic mountains and a rich, green tropical environment. Most people that fly as far as Hawaii usually want to see more than one island which is possible on a cruise ship or using inter-island air to get from island to island. Hawaii has pretty good air service so it is possible with many of the Hawaiian islands to fly into one island and directly out of the other with only one inter-island air flight and no back-tracking. Our Tampa Travel Agency has sold quite a bit of Hawaii vacation packages, escorted tours and cruises so get the best advice and the best price.
Oahu, Hawaii is home to Honolulu and the famed Waikiki Beach. Pearl Harbor is probably the most visited attraction in all of Hawaii. Oahu also features the Punchbowl National Cemetary, Honolulu Lookout, Chinatown and the Royal Iolani Palace. Maui is our second most popular Hawaiian Island featuring Kaanapali Beach and Haleakala National Park. The Big Island of Hawaii is home to Kona and the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park to see the Kilauea Crater and lava tubes. Kilauea is the worlds most active volcano. Another popular Island is Kauai which is termed the Garden Island of Hawaii. The lush landscapes in Kauai feature orchids, hibiscus and plumeria which have been used for Hollywood film settings. Popular Kauai attractions are the Opaeka a Falls on the Wailua River and the restored Kilohana Sugar Plantation or visit Waimea, the Polynesian capial of Kauai which includes sightseeing through the Waimea Canyon (The Grand Canyon of the Pacific) and Hanapepe Valley.
We sell escorted tours of Hawaii that include sightseeing and inter-island air. We also do Independent Travel in Hawaii using hotels or condos and we can program you inter-island air and usually a rental car to get around and see the sights. We sell many cruise lines that make a port of call on Hawaii using a big loop from California or Vancouver. These usually occur during the transition to or from Alaska in the spring or fall. There are also ships who make a port of call on Hawaii while on their way to Polynesia, the South Seas or Australia.

Because of the Jones Act, there is only one cruise line NCL that makes multiple ports of call on Hawaii with a departure from Honolulu weekly. This is NCL with a US flagged vessel that is a little more than a traditional cruise line because they use US waged crew. This company started out with three vessels in Hawaii but have cut down to one ship at this point meaning that cruise stays pretty full. This is probably the most efficient method of touring the Hawaiian Islands with a stop a day in a different island and we offer pre or post cruise stays in Honolulu if you want to stay a few extra days in the island.
